To help you get more referrals, Referral Cards have been introduced. Simply click on the card you would like and a page of 12 cards is generated, automatically with you referral URL. With the cards, your username is hidden so you can refer annoymously! Just print them off and give them out to friends or family, or to your parents to give to their friend's children. You may also want to hand them out randomly to people you do not know, or post one of them into a neighbour's house. You can then earn more referrals and more prizes from the Referral System!

We are also running another fun Contest for you to send in your photos of the funniest use of your referral card! The best ones we receive will be added to the site and will win a blue, green, yellow or red Ercuw Potion that is not avaliable from upgrades or restocks. There will only be a few of this item on the site! Send in your photo to marapets@gmail.com. Don't forget to include your username and remember that if you don't want it shown on the site, don't send it in!

Even though they are a little late, we decided to release March Account Upgrades. We have not retired the November upgrades yet, this will be done next month. There are four different gold accounts for march, but no bronze or silver. You can pick the one you would like from each of them. You can purchase the upgrade now, but please allow up to 24 hours for it to be rewarded from this news update. After then it will be back to the average of 6 hours wait.

There are four new instruments. Each upgrade has one of them, and you may get 1, 2 or 3 of it with each upgrade.

Each upgrade has a different colour potion or enchanted plushie you can get. There is a one in three chance of you getting an Fire, Mermaid, Wizard or Baby Ercuw, instead of an Ideus, Knutt, Newth or Zetlian.

There are four new Opponents avaliable.

There is also a book, cd, dvd or stamp with the new upgrades.

We have just started Referrals Month, which will give you tons of extra rewards for referring new members to us. Up until April 18th, for each member you successfully refer to us, using your referral link, will get you a random gift from us, aswell as the rewards from the Referral System. We would just like to thank every member for your patience over the past two to three weeks while we fixed our problems. We have professionals monitoring all of our servers, adjusting and configuring them all to work perfectly and to find out the cause of our 'Server Error' and lagging. We have been told that they have been fixed and that we should not experience anymore problems and after the past couple of days, its looks like we are back to normal and faster than ever! There will not be anymore planned downtime of the site for a very long time now.

No clues will be given for this Cheese Avatar!

We now have confirmation that our the router we are missing from our new network should be with us in about 5 to 10 days, which I've been told is what we need to fix our problems. The current router is too slow for the amount of data that is constantly moving between all of our servers. Until then we'll keep the site online for those who want to play while we are experiencing problems. Marasites, Marauploads and MaraJournals are now back online. We are still waiting for domain upgrade sites to be moved. Marapets Email should be back soon too.

March Account Upgrades have been cancelled as Laimay was away for the week we planned to do them. Instead we have planned two new contests and a 20 day Event that will begin when the site is back to normal. We will also have an alternative to the Account Upgrades for this month released soon.

Not only can you catch fish when you go Fishing, but you can also find this we have hidden...

High Scores are also down. We are currently working a new automatic trophy system which will be awarded every week. The Stock Market and Clubs are being recoded and will be back online soon.

Welcome Back! Marapets is now back online with its brand new network of servers. We would like to apologise for the downtime, but it was essential and will have a lot of long-term benefits for us. You should have already noticed the change in speed. We will continue work for the next two weeks, without any downtime, to fix all problems. Network sites, such as Marasites, may take up to 3 weeks to return.

Restocks, trade and auction processing and the online count have now been fixed. Games also properly reset at midnight.

NEW GAME - Our third game has been released. Dukka Trove is released in beta for testing. However, we have had some feedback telling us that there are a few problems with it. We will release the final fixed version within the next few days if there are any problems with it.

Eight new Drinks are restocking!

Another major change is that 48 Hour User Protection and Account Penalties have finally been properly introduced. You can read more by following the link at the bottom of every page.

As part of our new start for the site, MP Verification is currently happening. We are taking the time to check over every account to make sure you all have what you should have. It could take anywhere between 5 minutes and 72 hours for you MP to be verified. Please be patient and to save a lot of time, be honest!

Marapets is also now blue! We wanted a fresh start for the site, which has had many problems in the past two months. The new Layout is permenant and we hope you like the changes. We hope to introduce changing layout colours and themes by the end of the year.

NEW GAME - Our second flash game has been released. Biala Tetris can be played 3 times a day and you can earn up to a maximum of 1,500MP per play! We would like to apologise for the problems we had with the release of the first game, it was randomly logging people as cheaters. This has been fixed now.

Sorry for the Server Problems we have had for the past few days. The site is back to normal now. Just so you know, we may experience up to 12 hours of downtime later in the week. It is planned for either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Our servers are being set up on our own private network to increase the speed of the site. As many of you already know, we are saving up for Oracle database software for our items server. This will be required soon as our current servers cannot manage at restock times.

You can now change your pet into a Checkered Equilor if you want to...

Four new Drinks are restocking.

We would like to warn all Roleplayers that new rules will be introduced soon. We will therefore be totally clearing all topics in the roleplaying forum because certain members continue to start topics not appropriate for the site.

Fishing has now been fixed. Sorry for the problems experienced so far.

Another new Job is avaliable. How well would your pet be as a computer programmer? Collecting wages has also now been fixed.

Another new Email Newsletter will be sent out soon, most likely next week, with another free item to be claimed from it. This time you will have to actually read the email before you can claim your gift. We therefore suggest that every member updates their account email address with a valid account and verify it. If you are not able to receive the verification email, you will not receive the newsletter email either so you may need to fix this in time.

The Drinks store in Slater Park has announced that it will have a new image and will be selling new drinks. All of the old Marapop drinks are being revamped and lots of new drinks are going to be released, with diet versions too.
