Here is a break down of my user name. Blue is my favorite color, Taz is my favorite character and 2001 is just a random number I used. My real name is Marylu. :D

@bluetaz2001 we do cheese fondue with breads, ham, various veggies and fruits, baby potatoes, etc. And sometimes also chocolate fondue for dessert, but usually it’s a yule log or other festive dessert.

December 5 - we always do a fondue night on Christmas Eve. A tradition that started before I was even born! And then we exchange presents and hang out on Christmas Day with family. Just a simple but fun holiday!

You have opened door 5 and today your special gift is Eggnog. I am not a fan of this stuff but hey some people love it.
Thank you for sharing a family tradition I loved reading about them. What we do is similar to what coolwyng's does even though I do have adult children down to having a 2 year step-son. I do let them open one gift of their choice the night before and we set out cookies and milk for santa and carrots for the reindeer. The best part is my older children love doing it just as much as my younger ones.

Day 5 - When we lived up in Illinois, the whole extended family would go out for Christmas Eve dinner and then go back to my in-laws to open presents.
Now that we are down in Georgia, we are trying to work out some new traditions. Still not sure what we are doing yet, but every room in the house is decked out for Christmas.

@coolwyngs That is what we do....even though some of my kids are adults now that is something they look forward to.
@Cygnet I am curious do you have a big meal on Christmas day. I am also curious do you have like a little present for kids on the nights you light the candles?
@Tazluvr Does your whole family come over or do you celebrate with family on different days? Sometimes we do that since we have my parents and then my boyfriends family
@stephy4554 That is so sweet. I don't care how old I get I will spend any time I can with my dad not just on holidays, but it is my favorite cause I can surprise them with gifts.

Day five. The night before we open one present that is always pajamas that we wear that night in the next morning on Christmas morning we have a big breakfast and open presents usually until around noon or one because there’s five of us and open one present at a time around in a circle from youngest oldest
