I am reasonably sure that this is reposted with permission, but will remove it if it is requested. I would normally accuse this player of what I call 'information overload' and have done so in mails with him, but this did catch my attention, and out of concern that the main thread will be lost I have recaptured this important information here.

I REALLY HATE TO DIP INTO THIS ONE, but...

... the next time someone posts drivel like this... it is in everyone's best interest to maybe consider... just walking away.

# 1 : there is a customary twelve-hour time limit before a new account can send MMail "for a reason"... what that "reason" is, I dunno, nor do I care at this point... but I can think up a good one right here on the spot -- to give a genuinely NEW USER time to take it upon themselves to EXPLORE ( OMGawd, what a concept! ) the site, get out an old fashion writing instrument and scratch pad, or maybe one of those new-fangled digital note-taking devices, and start jotting down questions they develop as they come across different things on the site that mystify them over their first twelve hours on the site

# 2 : if/when an account gets banned/frozen - who are we to interfere? "Sorry to hear that happened!" ( Why are we sorry, exactly? That -they- most likely screwed up their own account and got pinched for it? ) "I'll go MMail a staff member right away for you!" (Again, there is a twelve-hour customary restriction placed on all newly-created accounts 'for a reason'. Who do you think you are to circumvent that?

I am *NOT* trying to be mean here - I am being sincere... do you really think your account is worth getting mixed up in such a mess and potentially getting banned/frozen, too, because you chose to stick your nose where it does not belong, all because you are just trying to be too nice to someone who potentially screwed up their own account(s) [note the 's']?? C'mon now.

I have NOTHING AGAINST being nice... I suffer the same affliction. *wink* But getting my account pinched because someone else got theirs pinched is NOT my idea of "helping out." Just think about it for an hour or so, before you jump right in and start making promises and connecting yourself with potential wrong-doers all in the name of some Utopian society that simply does not exist just yet.

# 3 : For sake of argument, say the alleged perp. actually was improperly banned/frozen... what, pray-tell, does twelve-hours actually hurt?? Is any Mara-Bank interest actually affected? No, that is every 24-hours, for those that can actually collect it.

Do the stats gained from finished Gym/School sessions expire if you do not collect your lil' virtual animals out of their respective training centres/centers in a timely manner? No, of course not. All that could be missed out on is shuffling them back off in there for some more grueling training/schooling while you go off trying to wheel and deal and make/earn some more MP for yourself.

So what is really being missed out on during those insufferable twelve long hours? Sleep. That's it... just plain, ole' sleep. So the alleged perpetrator should just go off and take a damn nap! Come back when they are capable of MMailing a BlueStar Admin. and then handle this matter more privately.

But nooooooooooooooo... what do they do...? But of course!! They come on the forums to illicit sympathy from others, like you, who are just too kind...

Hmmm... someone should try to siphon some of it off and bottle it up and sell it at Macy's year-round! It would be a much better world then. I am not being flippant, nor sarcastic... I am being sincere... that would truly be a wonderful thing if someone could bottle up our niceness and provide it to others who are simply devoid of it. Don't you think?

The alleged perp. comes onto the public forums to both illicit sympathy *and* to involve anyone and everyone in their own private little drama that they have created for themselves. And because they got caught at whatever it was that they were doing, if they cannot "have their cake and eat it, too"... why not just go ahead and risk someone exposing the real dirty laundry of what allegedly happened that got them pinched in the first place. They have nothing more to lose 'cept the latest-created account which they intended to ditch anyway! *shrug*

If you read through this entire postie, thank you... you have earned a karmic cookie!! If you cheated and skipped through to the end, your karmic cookie is already half-eaten, and the remaining half was made with generic ingredients. *smirk*
